SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

Wednesday, October 2nd, 1996 at 7 p.m. The subject

is changing the date for the Public Hearing on the

Petition to Vacate part of First Street, south of Main

Street next to lots 1 through ó in block 179, all in R & A

Survey. The date was set for October 8, 1996 at 9 a.m.

Mr. Epley is asking that it be set for Tuesday, October

22nd, 1996 at 9 a.m. just before the regularly scheduled

City Council Meeting.

TUESDAY, October 2,1996

Mayor Barbara A. O’Harris called the Special Council Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on October 2, 1996. The meeting was scheduled to change the date of the Public Hearing on the Petition To Vacate part of First Street, south of Main Street, next to lots 1 through 6, in block 179, all in ft & A Survey.

PRESENT: Mayor O’Harris, Aldermen Jeffrey, and Alderwomen Dickens, Seratt and Watson. Alderman Rubley was late.

ALSO PRESENT: There were several people present, some of which did not sign in. Kirby Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schenck, Earl Hyatt, Don Young, and Clerk Lee.

Mr. Alan Epley had asked that the Public Hearing be re-set for October 22, 1996, at 9 a.m.

Alderman Jeffrey made the motion to cancel the Public Hearing for

October 8th, 1996 and re-set the Public Hearing date for October 22, 1996

at 9 a.m.

Alderwoman. Seratt seconded.

By roll call, the vote was 4/0/0.

Alderwoman Seratt made the motion to adjourn. It was seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
