SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

December 20th, 2002                                                         

 

Mayor Satori called the December 20th, 2002 meeting to order at 1:03 p.m.

 

PRESENT:

Mayor Satori, and Aldermen DeVito, Money, Harrison, and Sumpter. Ms. Carroll and Mr. Dozier were absent.

 

ALSO PRESENT: Dennis Hunt, Shep Russell, Margo, Kim Dickens, and Mary Ann Lee, Clerk.

 

The purpose of the meeting was to do three readings and the emergency clause on Ordinance No. 1909.

 

Ordinance No. 1909, an ordinance establishing the maturity schedule for the City’s water and sewer revenue bonds, series 2002: ratifying and confirming the sale of the bonds; prescribing other matters relating thereto; and declaring an emergency.

 

Alderman Sumpter made the motion to place Ordinance No. 1909 on its first reading in its entirety.  Alderman DeVito seconded.  All were in favor, 4/0/0.

Mr. Russell read the ordinance in its entirety.

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to approve.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  All were in favor, 4/0/0.

 

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 1909 on its second reading by title only.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  By roll call, all were in favor, 4/0/0.

Mr. Russell read the ordinance by title only.

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to approve.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  All were in favor, 4/0/0.

 

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to further suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 1909 on its third reading by title only.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  By roll call, all were in favor, 4/0/0.

Mr. Russell read the ordinance by title only.

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to approve.  Mr. DeVito seconded. All were in favor, 4/0/0.

 

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to adopt the Emergency Clause.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  All were in favor, 4/0/0.

 

Mr. Sumpter made the motion to adjourn.  Mr. DeVito seconded.  All were in favor, 4/0/0.

 

The meeting was adjourned at 1:10 p.m.
