CITY COUNCIL
Mayor Dani Wilson called the special meeting of the Eureka Springs City Council to order at 4:08 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, in the jury room on the second floor of the Western District Carroll County Courthouse.
PRESENT: Mayor Dani D. Wilson, Aldermen Patrick Brammer, Rae Hahn, Eric Scheunemann, Joyce Zeller, Emergency Services Chief David Stoppel; Parks Director Bruce Levine; Parks and Recreation Commissioner Barbara Dunnam; Bob Rennels of the Carroll County Newspapers; Shannon Brooks of the Patriots Herald newspaper; Mike Ellis of The Lovely County Citizen, and City Clerk-Treasurer Mary Jean Sell.
The purpose of the special meeting is to consider amendments to the 2006 general fund budget for the City of Eureka Springs, AR.
Ms. Zeller moved to place Ordinance 2039 amending the 2006 adopted budgets for the City of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, for the year 2006; appropriating money for each and every item of expenditure therein and for other purposes, on its first reading. Mr. Brammer seconded.
Ms. Sell read Ordinance 2039 aloud.
Mr. Brammer moved to approve Ordinance 2039 on its first reading. Mr. Scheunemann seconded.
Mr. Scheunemann said the word “ordinance” in the last sentence should be changed to “conflict.”
On the motion to approve the first reading of Ordinance 2039, all voted aye. Motion passed 4/0/0
Mr. Brammer moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance 2039 on its second reading by title only. Ms. Zeller seconded. By roll call, all voted aye. Motion passed 4/0/0
Ms. Sell read the title of Ordinance 2039 aloud.
Mr. Brammer moved to approve Ordinance 2039 on its second reading by title only. Ms. Zeller seconded. All voted aye. Motion passed 4/0/0
Mr. Brammer moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance 2039 on its third reading by title only. Ms. Zeller seconded. By roll call, all voted aye. Motion passed 4/0/0
Ms. Sell read the title of Ordinance 2039 aloud.
Mr. Brammer moved to approve Ordinance 2039 on its third reading by title only. Ms. Zeller seconded. All voted aye. Motion passed 4/0/0
