ORDINANCE NO. 2049

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ALDERMAN CHARLOTTE BUCHANAN TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS WHILE SERVING AS ALDERMAN

WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, has made a comprehensive study and review of the laws governing limitations of Alderman being employed by or receiving funds from the City while serving as Alderman; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Buchanan has been providing Marketing and Promotion Services in and to the City of Eureka Springs, AR, for more than 4 and ½ years prior to her Election both personally and as president of GlamOrama Productions, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council, Ms. Buchanan was elected by the electorate with full disclosure of her past relationship with the City and the City Advertising and Promotion Commission

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS, THAT:

Section 1. That Charlotte Buchanan and the Corporation of which she is president, GlamOrama Inc. are hereby specifically authorized to do business with the City of Eureka Springs, AR, and its commissions, including but not limited to the City Advertising and Promotion Commission with regard to marketing and promotion of the City and its events and festivals.

Section 2. Repeal Clause: All Ordinances, Resolutions, and parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
