ORDINANCE NO. 2109

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION E OF CHAPTER 2.28.02  OF THE EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK., MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE SALARY FOR THE CITY CLERK-TREASURER FOR THE CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK.

 

WHEREAS, in order to best serve the citizens of the City of Eureka Springs, Ark., the responsibilities of the City Clerk-Treasurer have been defined by Arkansas State Code 14-43-506 and the Eureka Springs (Ark.) Municipal Code Chapter 2.28.02, and

 

WHEREAS, Section E of Chapter 2.28.02 of the Eureka Springs (Ark.) Municipal Code establishes the City Clerk-Treasurer’s salary at $28,000 per annum, and

 

WHEREAS, the City Clerk-Treasurer’s full time salary has not been amended since February 14, 2005,

 

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS, ARK., HEREBY FINDS:

 

Section 1. That Section E of Chapter 2.28.02 of the Eureka Springs (Ark.) Municipal Code setting the City Clerk-Treasurer’s salary shall be amended to $30,500 per annum as of November 1, 2009.

Section 2. That provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared to be separable and if any provision shall for any reason be held illegal or invalid, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance.

Section 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
