Eureka Springs is truly a unique city. Established in the late 1800's it is still a

Smoke detectors are a valuable item to have
in your place of residence.
The Eureka Springs Fire Department has a
program to install free smoke detectors for residents living inside the Eureka
Springs Fire District. This program was
started with a generous donation from the Arkansas Fire Prevention Commission and will be
maintained through donations and other grant opportunities. As part of the program, a Eureka Springs
Firefighter will install a free smoke detector inside your home if
requested. We will inspect existing smoke
detectors and replace the battery if needed.
Your name, address and phone number will then be entered into a database
and you will be contacted twice a year and reminded to change your
batteries. Residents requesting a smoke
detector or having questions about the program should contact the Eureka
Springs Fire Department at 253-9616.
The chance of surviving a fire in your home is much greater if you have a home fire escape plan. These guidelines will aid in developing your own fire escape plan:
Visitors are always welcome at the fire department during business hours, seven days a week. Fire personnel are happy to tour and explain the station, fire trucks, and ambulance equipment.
If you would like a tour for your group, call the Eureka Springs Fire Department Emergency Medical Service to schedule a date and time.
