RESOLUTION NO. 578

Be it resolved by the City Council of Eureka Springs, State of Arkansas a resolution entitled: Application for grant funds to build ADA compliant facilities at Lake Leatherwood City Park.

A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of Eureka Springs to apply for a grant on behalf of the City of Eureka Springs.

Whereas, the Eureka Springs  City Council has determined that the City of Eureka Springs meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the Wildlife Recreation Facilities Grant; and

Whereas, the City of Eureka Springs has presented plans to  provide ADA compliant parking and ramp to a ADA compliant fishing pier and canoe/kayak launch; and
Whereas, the City Council of Eureka Springs recognizes the need for the project, concurs its importance, and supports the City of Eureka Springs in its efforts to proceed with the same; and

Therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor of Eureka Springs is hereby authorized to submit an application of formal request to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount of $ 38,524.05 to aid and assist the City of Eureka Springs in executing the proposed project described herein and that the Mayor of Eureka Springs is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the same project.
