RESOLUTION NO. 582

A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID ENHANCEMENT FUNDS

WHEREAS, the City Council of Eureka Springs understands Federal-Aid Surface Transportation Enhancement funds are available at 80% federal participation and 20% local cash match for the following project: Eureka Springs Highway 23 North-Highway 23 South Sidewalk project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF EUREKA SPRINGS THAT:

SECTION I: City of Eureka Springs will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility, including maintenance of this project.

SECTION II: The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the above stated improvement.

SECTION III: The City Council of Eureka Springs pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.

THIS RESOLUTION adopted this  7 day of July, 2011.
