Eureka Springs is fortunate to have high quality, safe, clean drinking water provided by the Carroll-Boone Water System. This facility is located west of the City on beautiful Beaver Lake and provides water to Eureka Springs, Berryville and Harrison, AR.

Once this water reaches our system, the dedicate employees of the Public Works department not only read your water meters, but maintain the system insuring a minimum of disruption of service to your home or business as well as monthly testing to insure safety. We are also proud of the fact that there is a fire hydrant within 500 feet of every home and business within Eureka Springs City limits.

WASTEWATER

Eureka Springs Wastewater Treatment Facility is located at 100 Highway 23 North. Just North of the Eureka Springs & North Arkansas Railroad Depot. Although our current, extended aeration, solids contact system provides an extremely high quality effluent, plans are in progress to change from our existing treatment facility to a new Sequential Batch Reaction system. This change will insure that as treatment needs increase, our effluent will continue to be of high quality. Consequently, the receiving stream, its aquatic life, and ecosystem will continue to reap the benefits of our stewardship.

Remember that everything put down the drain affects our treatment facility. Dispose of your cooking oil in a responsible manner. Please do not pour it down the drain. Collect it in a container and take it to the recycling center.
